The Cabinet de Recherche en Génierie Sociale des Travaux d’urbanisme et d’Architecture Locaux (CRISTAL) is a company created in May 2019 to offer services in the field of architecture and urban planning and training.

Its creation is based on the observation that the architecture and urban planning markets have strong growth potential in Burkina Faso and in Africa in general. Indeed, urban centers including Ouagadougou are in full construction and urban development is at the heart of the concerns of the Government and local authorities; the majority of these communities do not have planning tools (Master Plans for Development and Urbanism and Land Use Plans), not to mention all the urban studies that require the skills of architects and urban planners.

This is why the fields of activity covered by the company are architecture, urban planning and training.

CRISTAL’s slogan “Designing for tomorrow” refers to the need for project designers to initiate them and have them carried out with a view to making them sustainable projects, for the benefit of current and future human settlements. The brown and green colors refer to the same needs, namely the preservation of the earth (brown or earth) and vegetated spaces (green). Approved by the Ministry of Urban Planning and Housing in August 2019, the firm finds the basis of its creation in the availability of a team of multidisciplinary and experienced experts whose purpose is to satisfy the needs of the client. The team’s experts have acquired the skills to lead or support the implementation of a project from the study phase to completion. They have the advantage of having worked equally well in public, municipal and private project management.
